"Wow! Keith’s place was like visiting your favorite uncle’s cool digs in the stunning Monteverde mountains! He was one of the best hosts I’ve ever had on airbnb! He goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, gives local tips, and makes a killer breakfast so you’re prepared for your cloud forest hikes. My boyfriend and I had the best time there and would love to go back! Great yoga space and the sweetest cat and dog make this place a rare gem! Thanks for your warm hospitality, Keith!"

"My husband, 6 month old daughter and I stayed for 4 nights in late April. We cannot say enough about the wonderful hosts and accommodations. A refreshing retreat in the tranquil Monteverde cloud forest area. Gorgeous facilities and views, perfect for a relaxing little getaway in nature’s beauty. The place is built to host yoga/meditation groups, but just so happened we were the only ones there during much of our stay as we were traveling during the shoulder season. Christian and his family took incredible care of us while there. A different breakfast cooked fresh each day, which we enjoyed in the outdoor patio overlooking the gorgeous views. We would sit out there each morning enjoying breakfast and extended coffee with our 6 month old. Christian’s wife offered to hold and entertain our 6 month old while we ate our meals undisturbed. They gave us recommendations of local restaurants and activities and made sure our stay was comfortable. It was just the best, a high recommendation!"

"Finca Camino Nuevo is a lovely Airbnb. The property was beautiful and healing for the soul. I went on a short hike on the property and saw monkeys, a toucan, an olingo, hummingbirds, and butterflies. Breakfast was amazing, the room had a wonderful view, and the pets were so warm and welcoming as well. I had an amazing stay. Next time I would definitely rent a car in order to access the hotel as it is a bit out of town. From Monteverde, a taxi is about $10, but I think it was very worth it."

"Finca Camino Nuevo is an absolute gem of a find. If you are looking for a truly special experience look no further. Keith and his staff made us feel like a part of the family immediately. The pictures don't do the place justice. Rooms where incredibly comfortable and well kept. Exquisite views from every vantage point. The common space was a lovely area to just relax in. The breakfast and special touches through out our stay where gorgeous, delicious, healthy, mindful treats; far above and beyond our expectations. The grounds are filled with wonderful areas to hike and discover the natural wild life with out having to go far. We spent hours just exploring on the property itself. The Finca is perfectly suited to those who happen to also be inclined to yogic lifestyles. Being able to wake up and do a meditation or personal yoga practice in multiple areas ,set up especially for this purpose was such a fantastic bonus. When we did venture out Keith and his staff where more than helpful, giving us the best options in the area, and helped us select the perfect adventures to suit our likes. The location is just remote enough to be able to detach from the world but also very conveniently located to local food stores, very good restaurants, supplies and other activities. I highly suggest a 4x4 vehicle. The drive up is beautiful but rugged and getting around is quite easy but very mountainous. We honestly didn't want to leave we where so happy there. We will absolutely be back and look forward bringing others along with us next time."

"Our passion in life is traveling and we have done it all over the world staying on all kind of places including dozens of Airbnbs. Without a doubt this is the best and warmest place we have ever stayed . It is located just a 15 minute drive from Monteverde downtown, is close enough to where the “action” is happening, but far enough to be on a peaceful and nature surrounded environment. The property is on a mountain, surrounded by mountains and with a far view of the Pacific Ocean when it is not to cloudy. Most of the time (specially at night) you can barley hear any other sound than the wind, birds and other native animals. It is so pristine and without light contamination that at night you get to see the sky full of stars (when there are no clouds). It is an ideal place for yoga retreats or leisure in general. Rooms are clean, comfortable and all of them have a great view. No A/C needed since it has a chill/cold temperature year round. Keith is very friendly and have good recommendations of stuff to do around (great cooker as well). This is definitely a very mystical place perfect for those looking to be in direct contact with nature and in a peaceful environment. Thanks for everything Keith, we will be back ."

"Out of all the places we traveled to in Costa Rica, Keith's hospitality was the absolute highlight of our vacation. Since leaving, this place is all I continue to dream about returning to. We arrived to Finca Camino Nuevo initially as the only guests onto this large piece of land overlooking the valley of hills that seemed to swallow the clouds and spit them right back up toward us. While I was skeptical of the place from the photos, the pictures do not do justice to this breathtaking scenery. I felt like we stepped into another world as we came down the steep dirt path and entered this sacred sanctuary that felt like a floating laputa in the sky far away from the city. Other travelers during this low season picked fancier and more easily accessible hotels off the main road or in Santa Elena, and I felt so incredibly grateful to claim this magical vortex of our own! Here's why: ROOMS: This was an abandoned hotel of at least 5 years until Finca Camino Nuevo was born. Keith originally envisioned this space as a wellness retreat, and that's exactly what it feels like. There's a meditation room, yoga/dance room with the most amazing large windows where you can look out as far as the ocean on a clear day, a sweat lodge, and a lounge area with personal development and alternative healing books that I could sit and read for hours. I usually roll my eyes at centers that disperse spiritual and cultural relics on their walls to seem more inclusive, but everything here is intentionally placed and has a story behind it that Keith has spent time researching in honor of its origins. (He also collaborated with local artists to build everything!) LODGING: You can't go wrong with any of the rooms. Downstairs are hammocks to relax in, and upstairs are the views. Every room also has artwork done by a local artist. Don't expect any fancy amenities; use your room to sleep and shower, since most of your time is hopefully spent on the land. One of the bedrooms was converted into a mini movie theater where we spent our final night watching a film over stovetop popcorn. COMMUNICATION: Keith made sure we were taken care of, from arrival to departure. He gave clear instructions for our shuttle on where to drop us off so he could grab us from the city of call a taxi to bring us. You NEED a 4x4 car to get here since it's only dirt roads to get here. ENVIRONMENT: Although it's off main highway it is very, very close to Cloud Forest! While I went hiking in Cloud Forest as what is most advised when you come to Monteverde, I preferred the local hikes nearby our place where you walk past streams and can access incredible panoramic views. His dog, Sati, was sent with us as our guide - but Sati will do her own thing and trust she'll eventually find her way back to you if this happens. Even though it was "rainy season," it only showered in the afternoons and it was mesmerizing to watch it from the glass windows of every room. (Do not rely on any weather apps here.) BREAKFAST: speechless. Best. Breakfast. EVER. Even the ranger at the Cloud Forest entrance who heard we were staying here responded with, "Oh! Keith makes the best breakfast!" I thought Keith had a kitchen team, but it's literally just him as the receptionist, cook, guide, and all things to this place. His homemade chai tea is to die for if you're lucky to try it. His giant pancakes were mixed with Ghiradelli chocolate, turmeric, and other spices. Plantains seasoned with ginger and cinnamon. I could go on and on, but I'm sure I gained like 5 pounds while being here since it was enough to feed a village. Your night here is worth the food alone! I could go on and on about this place. If you're looking to get away from the noise, stay here to restore your body/mind/spirit. Keith has built something very special here that I hope the world will come to know if they're looking for the quietest and most serene part of Costa Rica, away from the adrenaline and adventure. (Consider this an adventure into the self.) Thank you for making this place come to life, Keith! I am already looking forward to our return."
